Bianca D’Arc is an American author that writes paranormal fantasy. Her mother immigrated from the Netherlands. She worked as a librarian for a while before becoming a lawyer. Bianca’s father was a scientist who had the privilege of contributing his skills to the space program.

Bianca’s dutch heritage made her childhood interesting. She made frequent visits to the Netherlands to see her mother’s side of the family. Her parents were incredibly supportive of her dreams. They spent her childhood telling Bianca that she could do whatever she wanted and she took their encouragement to heart.

Inspired by her parents’ careers, she went to university and studied Chemistry. In the years that followed, she also pursued Library Science and law. For Bianca, life in the corporate arena wasn’t as glamorous as she expected. She was particularly perturbed by the 45-minute train trips she had to take to and from work every single day.

During the coldest months of the year, the author had to leave for work while it was dark. And by the time she got back home, not only was it dark again but she was sapped of all her energy, so much so that she couldn’t muster the strength to enjoy her evenings.

For Bianca, writing gave her the freedom she always craved. First, she had a vivid imagination. She was always creating fantastical worlds filled with interesting characters. The publishing industry allowed her to manifest those ideas on the page and to share them with the world.

Secondly, writing allowed Bianca to ditch her hectic 9 to 5 schedule, not to mention the grueling train rides. The first book she remembers reading was ‘Sam and the Firefly’. Because her mother was a librarian, their home was always filled with books.

But it wasn’t until she read ‘Sam and the Firefly’ that Bianca’s interest in novels was ignited. The picture book delivered its story in a simplified format that she could understand. The author’s reading habit was further cemented in Grammar School.

The teachers would occasionally ask their students to do reports on books they had picked. This led Bianca to Black Stallion, which she loved, Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and numerous other titles.

Before she knew it, the author couldn’t get enough of books, especially science fiction, fantasy, and romance. It did not take her long to discover her love for writing. Her first book came out in 2006. She initially saw some success with Samhain Publishing. However, despite their dramatic ascension in the traditional publishing industry, Samhain eventually closed.

Bianca persisted all the same. She tried to find her footing in traditional publishing. But the field was far too restrictive for her liking. After toying with the idea for a while, she finally became an indie author in 2011.

The experience transformed her career, giving her the leeway to write whatever she wanted at her own pace. As an indie author, she did not have any deadlines to beat or editors exerting undue pressure on her.

Self-publishing gave her the freedom to grow, and that is what she did, eventually churning out novels in the dozens. She also made several friends, some of whom began as passionate fans of her work.

Gareth was determined to have her. But their union couldn’t happen unless the woman accepted his dragon. More problematic was the looming war, a conflict that threatened to destroy the land.

When Does The Next Bianca D'Arc book come out?

Bianca D'Arc doesn't seem to have an upcoming book. Their newest book is Lionheart and was released on March, 26th 2024. It is the newest book in the Tales of the Were: Kinkaid Shifters Series.
