Blake Banner is a bestselling author that writes mysteries and thrillers. Banner’s childhood was more interesting than most because he describes his parents as well-meaning Marxists. Rather than finding a suitable school for him to attend, the author’s mother hired a governess.

The governess did what she could to keep the author in line. But Banner was easily distracted. Or, at the very least, he had no interest in learning the Greek alphabet. The author spent his days exploring guns and ancient weapons.
