He has worked as a reporter for newspapers, an editor for magazines, and a teacher. Copperman was reading by the age of four. He distinctly remembers ‘The Little Fish That Got Away’ because it was the first book he read on his own.

An avid fan of baseball who watches the sport religiously, the author spent two decades writing screenplays. He was relatively successful in the field. In fact, his first novel began as a screenplay, but the story refused to behave. It had other plans, and the author obliged. Once he completed the manuscript, he sold it in five days.

His first publisher was relatively small. While he doesn’t remember what he did when he saw his first book on a shelf in a bookstore, he knows how he reacted when he held a copy of his first published novel for the first time.

The moment was exciting, but it did not last long. The author showed his wife the book, and they both considered the enormity of the achievement before going back to work.

Copperman tends to write cozy mysteries with a paranormal element. For instance, in ‘The Haunted Guesthouse Mysteries,’ a single mother has to share her inn with two dead people. The author’s fans love his quirky characters.

Copperman doesn’t participate in the ‘eBooks VS Physical Books’ debate. He doesn’t care how you read his stories, so long as you read them in a manner that allows the author to get royalties. He believes that ebooks and physical books can co-exist. Neither medium can obliterate the other.

Best E.J. Copperman Books

E.J. Copperman is not a real person. The name is a pseudonym that Jeffrey Cohen created. Copperman’s best books include:

Night of The Living Dead: Alison Kerby’s marriage was dead, but her life was far from over. She had a nine-year-old daughter to care for, and she couldn’t afford to wallow in self-pity. When Alison moved to the Jersey Shore, her objective was to start over.

Having finally returned to her hometown, she had acquired a property that she hoped to transform into a profitable guest house. Her investment was clearly sound.

She had no reason to expect anything other than success. But then she took a bump on the head, and her life spun out of control. Suddenly, Alison could see the spirits of the dead.

Two such spirits were making themselves comfortable in her guest house. Maxie Malone was the property’s former owner. Paul Harrison worked for Maxie as a private detective.

Maxie’s strong opinions on Allison’s design plans are the least of her worries. Detectives had dismissed Maxie and Paul’s deaths as a suicide. They had both perished on the same night within the walls of the house.

But Neither Maxie nor Paul agreed with the conclusion the police had reached. Someone had murdered them. Allison must find the real killer before she joins Maxie and Paul in the afterlife.

The Uninvited Ghost: Alison and her daughter are coming to terms with their new lives. When they moved to Alison’s hometown, the divorcee wanted to turn an old home into a successful guesthouse.

When she discovered the ghosts living on the property, she wanted to cast them out. But things have changed. Not only is Alison’s guesthouse complete, but she has reached an arrangement with her spectral companions.

Alison was starting to believe that Maxie and Paul could give her guesthouse the push it needed to soar when Paul, a dead private detective, brought Alison a new case. A third ghost was in desperate need of Alison’s help.

Scott participated in a prank that had gone horribly wrong. He thinks he killed someone. When Alison discovered that the woman Scott thought he had killed was still alive, she wanted to put the case to rest.

But then someone murdered the woman during her stay at the guesthouse. Now Alison is on the trail of a killer. She must find him before he takes her out. Meanwhile, the divorcee has agreed to allow a film crew to shoot at her guesthouse.
