Bromke was still a little girl when she started writing. She would pen convoluted stories about big families and their complex dynamics. Her writing style matured with her age until she reached college and decided to explore the activity seriously.

The author has wide-ranging tastes. She consumes entertainment from every conceivable genre. Her favorite movies include ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ ‘The Dark Knight,’ and ‘Titanic.’ Where books are concerned, she loves ‘Dracula,’ ‘The Hunger Games,’ and a plethora of psychological thrillers. The author has yet to encounter a genre she hates.

Bromke is happiest when she pursues her creative hobbies. Writing brings her great joy because it absorbs her anxieties. Though, her family is still the most important aspect of the author’s life, which is why family plays a significant role in her books.

Even though her characters are occasionally embroiled in conflicts with friends, siblings, and parents, they always take great comfort in the close connections that bind them. Bromke uses some of her characters and their names to honor her real-life friends and family.

The first novel she published was ‘Christmas on Maplewood Mountain.’ The book was her debut romance. When she started investigating the self-publishing arena, Bromke had quite a few manuscripts on hand.

She chose ‘Christmas on Maplewood Mountain’ because she loves seasonal fiction, and the timing felt right. A holiday story sounded like an appropriate selection for her debut novel.

Bromke doesn’t have to wonder whether her decision was correct because her career is thriving. She does most of her writing late in the night and early in the morning. She doesn’t have a choice in the matter.

The author has a toddler that keeps her busy. She cannot work until he falls asleep. Bromke writes by the seat of her pants. She doesn’t plan her stories before she writes them.

This makes the author’s writing sessions more enjoyable. However, she has more work to do during the revision stage. Facebook is her favorite platform for promoting her work because she writes sweet romances, and her target demographic favors Facebook over every other social media site.

Bromke doesn’t shy away from tropes. She believes that authors should use what works, including cliches and tropes. They have persisted because they make readers comfortable. Therefore, authors should use them. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel to succeed as an author.

Best Elizabeth Bromke Books

The author counts John Irving, Stephen King, and Jodi Picoult among her most influential writers. Bromke’s best books include:

The Innkeeper’s House: Greta Houston had a bright future, or so she thought. She had an easy teaching gig, a decent condo, and a smart fiancé with plenty of money. But then her future husband did the unthinkable. He dumped her.

With a hefty mortgage on her hands, Greta had no choice. She asked her brother, Rhett, for help. He was more than happy to assist her. But she had to move back home.

Luke Hart enjoyed high school. After all, he was the star athlete. The golden boy had a plan. Once he left school, he would pursue a coaching career. His plan was taking shape.

The last thing he wanted was to move back to Hickory Grove to work at the family Inn. But his choices were limited. Luke’s grandmother was ill, and she expected the young man and his sister to take over their inheritance.
On the surface, it wasn’t the worst fate. But Luke knew that a decades-old brother-sister feud would make life unbearable.

House on the Harbor: The Hannington sisters in Birch Harbor are struggling and failing to get a handle on their lives. Kate was ready and willing to manage her late mother’s estate. But the dead woman had thrown a spanner in the works by changing her will, unbeknownst to Kate.

On the other hand, Amelia wanted her boyfriend to lend his talents to a local construction project, but he had set his sights on a different goal. Meanwhile, while Megan is actively dating despite her divorce, Clara refuses to dip her toes into the dating pool.
