Ellery Adams (also known as J.B. Stanley) came from Long Island Sound and had lived on a beach. A significant part of her adult life is well-spent in landlocked towns which are primarily her source of crystal clear memories of violent storms, open water, and the sea smell. Perhaps, this is her inspiration while writing her books for the “Books by the Bay Mysteries.”

Before becoming a full-time writer, she had tried different jobs such as caterer, car salesperson, clerk, tutor, teacher and technical writer. Today, she works at her home in Virginia where she would enjoy a cup of coffee and a background music while writing her masterpieces. Several book series from her Berkley Prime Crime Series have created a lot of followers that made her works become New York Times bestsellers.
Her first book in paperback, “A Killer Plot,” was released in 2010. It is the first of “The Books by the Bay Mysteries.” It is then followed by more books. Just last August 2016, Ellery had released “Murder in the Secret Garden” which is an installment of the series, “The Book Retreat Mystery.” Another bestselling series is her magical books for “Charmed Pie Shoppe Mysteries”.
ELLERY ADAMS AWARDS:

This is the first book of the many books of the “Charmed Pie Shoppe Mysteries.”
BEST ELLERY ADAMS BOOKS:
Given the widely appreciated talent of Ms. Adams, a lot of her books have garnered positive reviews and mentions. Her three book series have become New York Times bestsellers.
Lethal Letters: It is released in November 2014 and is the Book #6 of the New York Times bestselling series “A Books by the Bay Mystery.” The elements needed for a great mystery are all found in the story which makes it one of the best of the book series. Any reader can get curled up on the sofa and just become a part of the world of Olivia Limoges.
One can imagine her life in the Oyster Bay, North Carolina. From a busy restaurant owner and upcoming novelist, the heroine, Olivia, has to seek justice for a murder in one of her events.
Breach of a Crust: It is one of the 2016 books released by Ms. Adams and the Book #5 for “The Charmed Pie Shoppe Mystery.” The book is another proof why the series has become a New York Times bestseller. The setting is in the enchanted town of Havenwood, Georgia. The book is part of the series about a magical pie maker living in a town full of magical people. Her interest for shoddy spying has made her an enchanting heroine who’s out to save the day and the town. Ella Mae Le Faye is enjoying the success of her pie-making business and is loving the attention of Beatrice Burbank who is the Camellia Club’s president
However, things become unfavorable when Bea’s dead body was found by Ella. The story is mixed with elements of magic, romance, baking, and mystery.
Murder in the Paperback Parlor: It is the number two book in the mystery series “Book Retreat Mysteries.” Released in August 2015, the book has earned high ratings. “Book Retreat Mysteries” is another New York Times bestseller of Ms. Adams and this book is one hard proof why. Some reviewers gushed on how better the story is than the Book One of the series, Murder in the Mystery Suite. The setting is in Storyton Hall which is a place for literature and book lovers. The place should be a perfect getaway for those looking for some quiet time with their beloved book.
However, the book’s heroine, Jane Steward, has to find the murderer of Rosamund York, one of the most famous authors in attendance to her book-themed resort. There are many suspects and Jane needs the help of the members of her book club, Cover Girls, to find the right killer or someone else might be murdered next.
