This paved the way for the Walker saga. She pondered the concept for several years before she sat down to write it. The story would keep her awake at night as she refined the concepts and ideas.
Jaymin wanted to engage her readers without bogging them down with unnecessary technicalities. Her fans will tell you that she succeeded. Her first novel had everything she wanted from the fantasy genre: strong heroines, incredible creatures, epic battles, and sexy alpha males.

Abby was one of the first components of the story that took shape in her mind. She was tough, loyal, and snarky, and Jaymin couldn’t wait to write her story. The Walker series was just the first of many.

Once her children entered the picture, the author found that it wasn’t quite as easy to write. She could only write when her babies fell asleep. But she was determined to meet her deadlines before her readers started hounding her for the next installment in the Walker series.
