Deliverance Company Best Books

Some Day Soon # 1: This is the most famous book in the series. It is romantic in a subtle way and pulled many readers as they anxiously waited for the sequence novels that followed. Deliverance Company is a mercenary outfit started by Cain McClellan. Cain has no friends and no family, other than his associates at his Company. He isn’t in a hurry to settle down with a woman, he didn’t think it was necessary. Preferring to do his job instead, and perfectly good at it. He is a dangerous man who could track down anyone, including the government. His company deals with kidnappers and terrorists to keep citizens out of danger.

Linette Collins is a young widow, mourning the death of her dear husband of four years. She keeps busy with her work and is close to her in-laws. She has agreed to make an appearance at her sister in-law’s Christmas party. Here, she meets Cain. They both feel awkward with each other, one out of apathy while the other not sure if it’s okay to get involved with a man this early. They both leave the party concurrently and go their separate ways. Cain loved his lifestyle. He thrived on the challenge, the rush of putting his life in absurd danger. No woman could make him feel good, the way he did after a successful mission—he re-assured himself.

So why was he staring at her like a lovelorn youngster, hoping for a glimpse of Linette? But he saw her once more, and the sight of her demeanor took his breath away. The wind kissed her bright dark hair about her face; she carefully lifted a finger to tuck away a thick mane behind her ear. He wanted to turn around and leave, god! She was stunning! The smart thing to do was walk away. He needed one last look at her … His curiosity would be satisfied. But Cain knew that seeing Linette again was not enough.

Sooner or Later # 2: Sooner or Later consists of two stories told in a cycle. Letty Madden, postmistress of Boothill, Texas tries to hire mercenary, Shaun Murphy to accompany her to the troubled country of Zarcero to set free her twin brother, missionary, Luke Madden. But Murphy has no intention of helping, and to dismiss her, he proposes a night with Letty for the deal to go through. Letty agrees surprisingly, and soon enough they’re off to the jungles of Zarcero, keeping away from rebel soldiers and trying to stay safe as they search for Letty’s brother. Back home in Texas, another Deliverance Company mercenary, Jack Keller, tries to win Marcie Alexander, the woman he torments rather badly when he finds her in the presence of a suitor. This novel is a bit sexier and has a few dangerous heroes and energetic heroines.

Moon Over Water # 3: Lorraine Dancy and Jack Keller have their romance blossoming under the hot Yucatan sun. Jack is in trouble with the police, he’s an alleged artifact stealer and drug dealer with a bad business partner. Jack Keller is a retired mercenary. He’s been tasked to bring Lorraine safely back home without alarming the border patrols–but Lorraine cannot keep it together, she keeps landing in trouble! Will the ill-fated lovers make it out of the forest alive? And if so, will they live their dream and let love blossom in each other’s arms? The sooner he can get Lorraine home, the better.
