Being the child of wealthy parents, Anthony Horowitz had a childhood that most people only dream of. Horowitz had a first class education, which in turn prepared him to become a highly successful writer. The Falcon’s Malteser: Contrived with thrilling scenes and fast moving pace, the Falcon’s Malteser is the story about Nick and Tim, two characters who find themselves holding what appears to them to be a simple package. However, the simple package eventually turns out to be a surprise to these two characters. Nick is a 13-year-old boy, who resides with Tim, his older brother.

Tim is a former police officer, who after leaving the force is now serving as a private detective. In this narrative, these two characters are given a package that they are expected to watch over. However, all the criminals in London appear to be interested in this package. When the most infamous criminal in London manages to steal the package, he informs the two that they should locate the treasure that the key that was inside the package leads to. If the two failed in finding the treasure or refused to follow his orders, then he was going to kill them. The two, thus go on an exceedingly dangerous journey to locate the treasure.

Public Enemy Number Two: Full of suspense and humor, Public Enemy Number Two is undeniably a book that you will fall in love with. Very few authors can use humor exceedingly well, and Horowitz is undoubtedly one of the few authors. By mixing mystery and humor, author Anthony Horowitz has managed to deliver an amazing second installment. In this installment, the protagonist Nick is framed by the local police after he turned down their request to work for them and now he is known as the public enemy number two. Nick was expected to go to prison and find out everything about Johnny Powers, who is regarded as the public enemy number one.

However, it does not take long before Nick escapes from prison, alongside Johnny Powers. Nick, Johnny and Tim, his absent-minded brother eventually find themselves in an exceedingly dangerous cat and mouse game. To prevent death, the trio is forced to change their identity. However, changing their identities did not work as their real identities are soon discovered. Despite the fact that he is not an excellent detective, Tim is still handed the task of finding a vase that belonged to the local museum; the purple peacock.
