It was something that went very well, until one day, the Curtain closed up with no warning at all. It cut the colonists off from Earth, and the things they needed to keep their high technology lifestyle going. It thrust them into something a lot more primitive. They survived however, and two hundred years later, they were able to get things back to somewhere close to where modern day Earth is now. The novels all star different characters, and stand on their own. The novels are romantic suspense with a hint of the paranormal.

The series started in the year 2000, with the release of the novel “After Dark”. The series is related to other series that Jayne has written, like “The Arcane Society” and the “Curtain” series. There are both novels and short stories to this series.

BEST GHOST HUNTERS BOOKS

For those readers looking to get into the “Ghost Hunters” series by Jayne Ann Krentz, this section will help with that. It will go over the novels “After Dark”, “After Glow”, and “Ghost Hunter”.

After Dark: This is the first novel in the “Ghost Hunters” series and was released in the year 2000. Lydia Smith’s life has gotten tough these days, she is a licensed para-archaeologist. She is still stressed from an awful incident that took place in an alien’s tomb. Sit makes her obliged to take a part time job working in an incredibly low budget museum called Shrimpton’s House of Ancient Horrors. The plan that she made to get her career going back on the right track has not been going well. Certain things keep on happening that keep her off track.

Like the corpse that she found in a sarcophagus. Who would need or want that? Finding out that Emmett London (which is her new client) is one of the city’s most dangerous men does not help much either. That is just on the list that sets her back for today.

After Glow: This is the second novel in the “Ghost Hunters” series and was released in the year 2004. Things still have yet to get back on track for Lydia. She still works at a third rate museum, now she dates a very dangerous man. Right when things look like they are getting back to normal, she finds a corpse, and learns about some secrets her lover has that may get him killed. As if that were not bad enough, there is some trouble that is brewing in the Dead City, a creepy and glowing green place full of passageways.

It all is dwarfed by the most important thing that she has to worry about. She has been invited to attend the Restoration Ball, and does not have anything to wear to it.

Ghost Hunter: This is the third novel in the “Ghost Hunters” series and was released in the year 2006. Cooper Boone (who is a ghost hunter with a lot of power and boss of the Local Guild) is all that Elly St. Clair (who is a botanist) could want in a guy. He is the strong, handsome, and silent type. He might be too silent, though. Guild secrets threaten the career she has at the college, she has no other choice but to call off their upcoming marriage. She also leaves the small town she was living in.

Starting over in Cadence City (which is a thriving metropolis) is not all that easy. It is made harder when one of the new friends that Elly has

made goes missing in the creepy catacombs under the streets. Cooper comes with perfect timing to help her investigate things. Ghost myths and legends are coming to light, Cooper tells her that he has every intention of sticking around. Now, he is holding absolutely nothing back.
