The first novel in the series NYPD RED introduces the team “NYPD RED” a special task force within the New York Police Division charged with protecting the interests of the most powerful and wealthy citizens of Manhattan. Following the poisoning of a well-known movie producer on the first day of the Hollywood on the Hudson Manhattan Film Festival, the NYPD RED team is the first on the scene. Soon after, an actor is murdered on set followed by the mysterious explosion of a Molotov cocktail during a movie premiere.

The killer has been so meticulous in his planning of the killings and escape plans, all of which are brilliantly scripted, to make for an explosive finale that has the potential of bringing Hollywood and New York to its knees. The book is a brilliant narration that shows why Patterson holds the Guinness World Record for being the first author ever to sell a million eBooks.

BEST NYPD RED BOOKS:

NYPD RED 2 is considered by many to be the best of the NYPD RED series due to its fast-paced nature right from the start to its explosive finish. When the elite squad of NYPD RED is summoned to a crime scene, everyone from movie producers to A-list stars takes notice. However, even with their top-notch training, the Kylie and Zach find that this is a case like no other they have ever handled. As political and public pressure to find the killer of the wealthy woman (the fourth victim) mount, they know they must quickly find the killers motive if they are to trace him and stop him from killing again. However, Zach believes that Kylie has been acting strangely lately, threatening the biggest case of their careers.

NYPD RED 2 is one of the best thrillers to come out in 2015 as Patterson in this novel successfully goes behind the closed doors of New York society. Kylie and Zach have their New Year celebrations cut short when they have to respond to murder in the home of Hunter Alden Jr., a billionaire entrepreneur. There is a new and exciting twist to the narrative when Alden’s teenage son disappears a little while later, and his father does not seem too concerned about finding his whereabouts. The NYPD RED team finds itself entangled in a chilling conspiracy that threatens to drag down the billionaire’s most influential friends and associates with it.

Another page-turner in the NYPD RED series is the fourth book NYPD RED 4 that has one of the most in-depth dissections of detective work. When an ostentatious movie premier becomes the unlikely scene of a high-stakes robbery and an appalling murder, New York City’s best team is called in. Combing the entire city for clues, the team will stop at nothing to find the killer before he kills again. From the depths of Manhattan’s criminal underworld to the celebrity penthouses, the detectives work tirelessly and relentlessly even in the face of antagonizing the wealthy class of citizens they are supposedly serving.
